First I want to say thank you to Denise for the lighthouse file. I cut it with the cricut. This cake is for my mother-in-laws birthday. She likes lighthouses. I used crushed graham crackers for the sand and I looked all through the grandkids toys that they have here to find a doll or something to make footprints in the sand..All I could find was a Woody Doll. LOL..It didn't make very good prints,,but she will get the gist of it. I added part of the poem "Footprints" to the cake also. I colored the piping gel blue for the water and yellow for the lighthouse rays..I was happy with how it turned out..Thank you for looking.

Thank you everyone! Denise , yes I used the frosting sheets from icing images. I used the flip image in Scal 2. I tried to do the words also and it just didn't work. When I went to weed them they fell apart, so I printed them out on the frosting sheet..

Deb,,,I have ordered from www.tastyfotoart.com and www.icingimages.com for the edible ink. Have also ordered the frosting or icing sheets from both places. I have a Canon Pixma ip6000D. I have just puttered around with this over the last 3 yrs. I used to do mainly photo cakes for friends and family. I will try to help you if you have anymore questions. The edible inks are expensive

Kathy: Thank you for your quick response. I have just ordered the printer - it is on backorder and I was looking at inkedibles.com. Have you heard anything about them? I was looking at cartridges with reset chips - do you know anything about these chips? They say you can take them off of one cartridge and use them on another, Just wondered how hard that was and if it makes a mess. Thank you again for offering your expertise. That is why I love this forum.
